Nahe bei mir

I really dig this song. Combined with the fact this was only released in East Germany, made me pick this up. 

Totally different artwork compared to the regular single, it feels so strange seeing this kind of artwork on a Cure release.
I am kind of surprised the East German state would allow music from a band like the Cure being released behind the iron wall.

    amiga pressed quite a few titles from artists from the western world. most of the stuff was non-political so it didn’t interfere with the ideology of the GDR. the different cover artworks were another way to get the visuals in conformity with the system.
