Back On Track

One of the big Youth Crew bands of the 90’s undoubtedly is Ten Yard Fight, despite this isn’t my favorite record of them, finding it on colored vinyl feels good. Even the black vinyl is hard to find these days.

I ordered this from the label when it originally came out. I remember buying two copies and the label sent me two black vinyl copies. I was so annoyed that I called up the label (by phone) and complained. They were really good about it though and sent me two gold vinyl copies out right away. I think they asked me to return the black vinyl but I said I would only do it if they paid the postage, and once I told them how much the postage would be they just told me to keep the black vinyl copies. Ha!

I think I became interested in TYF around late 1999, even back then, I couldn’t find any vinyl at my local distro, so I settled for the cd version. A few years later I found a black copy at a small record store during a clearance sale. I always put the gold version on my back log, but I never felt shelling out 40 to 50 bucks for this, so I played they waiting game and eventually got it for 10 euro.
